LAND ORIGIN LLC operates taxproperties.com. This notice describes how we handle information about people using the service. For privacy questions or an account-data request, contact info@taxproperties.com.

Information used to provide your account

We use this information to sign you in, preserve your research, process membership access, send account emails, answer support requests, and limit misuse. Your notes are not public and are not shown to other account holders.

Your lists and imported results

Owner edits and contact results you import are stored privately with your account to support your research. The manager dashboard does not display these contents. Upload only information you are authorized to use. Exporting an owner file downloads it to your device; it does not submit it to a skip-tracing or mailing provider. No paid contact-lookup integration is currently active. Result dates and provider names are supplied by you and are not independent verification.

Shared investor workspaces

When you invite a teammate and they accept with a verified account, their assigned viewer or editor role grants access to that list’s workspace properties, reviewed owner entries, shared comments, assignments, contact-order results and mail drafts, including sender details. Existing private saved-property notes and private imported files are not automatically shared. An owner can remove shared access. Copies a teammate previously exported remain outside the service’s control.

We store invitation and activity records, service quotes, payment references and fulfillment states so orders can be reconciled without sending duplicate requests. Managers see service connection health and unresolved order references and amounts, not contact-result contents or shared notes. Contact lookup and printed mailing are currently inactive. Before activation, the selected providers, data shared and pricing will be disclosed in the ordering flow and this notice. Drafting, previewing and exporting do not send an order to a provider.

Payments and service providers

Stripe processes checkout and billing management. We receive information needed to connect payment status to your membership. We do not store your full card number or card security code. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Hostinger provides hosting and email infrastructure. Its systems process information needed to run the site and deliver account emails. Map images load from county imagery services, USDA/USFS, USGS or OpenStreetMap, depending on your location and selected map style; those providers receive ordinary browser requests, including your IP address and the map tiles requested. Opening an external link takes you to that site's own privacy practices.

Cookies and browser storage

A necessary session cookie keeps you signed in. Browser storage remembers your preferred map style. We use first-party measurement to understand visits, signups, checkout use and confirmed subscription payments. We also count confirmed account emails, saved properties and saved searches, and record the dates an account returns to understand whether customers find the service useful. Return-date records expire after 90 days and respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Managers see aggregate counts, not your private research contents. A random browser-session identifier and simple campaign labels help connect a signup to a campaign. We do not record private notes, checklist contents, searched addresses or full browsing URLs in these measurements. Browser-session records expire after 90 days; account-linked campaign and billing records remain with the account. The browser measurement respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control where available. There are no third-party advertising pixels or marketing analytics services.

Optional research emails and issue reports

Weekly research emails and manager health emails are off by default. You can opt in with a verified account, change your preferences in Saved, or stop optional emails using the link in an email. Weekly listing emails require active membership and may include public property details matching your searches or changes to saved properties; they never include private notes or checklist contents. Our email provider processes these messages to deliver them. Sent notification bodies are cleared after delivery, and completed delivery records expire after 90 days. Issue reports are visible to site managers and include the property reference and the description you submit. Do not include sensitive information.

Retention and access

Account information and saved research remain available while your account exists, including after membership cancellation. Consistent backups help recover data if something fails. Temporary authentication tokens expire, request-limit counters are cleaned up, and application security/export audit records are retained for 90 days. Hosting and payment providers maintain their own records under their policies.

Site management can review account email addresses, membership status, and security activity. The manager dashboard does not display passwords, recovery codes, or private notes. Access to the underlying service is restricted to operating and supporting it.

Your choices

You can edit notes, remove properties from your shortlist, cancel your membership, and sign out other devices from your account. Removing a bookmark hides it from the active shortlist; it is not a permanent account-data deletion request. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account information. We may need to verify account ownership and retain records required for billing, security, or applicable obligations.

Sharing and security

We do not sell your account information or private notes, and do not use them for targeted advertising. Information is processed by the service providers described above to operate the site. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate misuse or protect accounts and the service. Public property research information is separate from your private account information.

We use encrypted connections, protected password hashes, access controls, request limits, and backups. No internet service or security measure can guarantee complete security or uninterrupted data availability. Do not place passwords, card details, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information in private notes.

Backups and deletion requests

Deletion requests are handled through support after account ownership is verified. Copies may remain in restricted backups until those copies are safely retired; payment and legally required records may need to be retained separately. We will explain any applicable limits when responding to your request. Canceling payment alone does not request deletion.

Digital purchases

We retain the purchased sheet, edition, payment reference, purchase status and account association to deliver downloads and handle billing support. Full card details are handled by our payment processor. Your private property notes are not sent as part of a sheet purchase.

Children

This property research service is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
